Setting:

Legends has it that the ancient people ignored the warning of nature spirits in the blind chase for grandeur, recklessly summoning toxic fog from their furnaces and mechanical horse carriages. The Great Flood buried the greedy people and turned their steel forests into uninhabitable swamps. A new people were remade to properly heed and respect nature spirits. They built their homes atop of the tallest structures of the doomed civilization. With the help of small bits of surviving old technologies, the New People now live happily in harmony with their environment.
