Battle Chasers: Night War | Fishing

Warning: If you are playing the game and have not caught all the fish, perhaps avoid spoilers!

The fishing minigame in Battle Chasers: Night War is developed from a prototype made in an internal game jam. It was one of the funnest things I worked on and I remember putting in 70-80 hours that week and still wanting to do more. I mainly focused on UI and concept art during the jam and my teammates did all the heavy-lifting.

Thanks to everyone making this happen, especially people who busted their butts with me during the jam: Hakan Borazanci, Andrew T Nguyen, Andy Hansen, Ayhan Aydogan, Javid Ali.

These are made very quickly to meet the deadline of the game jam.

First sketch establishing the looks of the experience. I wanted way too many features for a game jam to support that would add too much complexity to the game anyway, but this is the blue sky stage!

This is how it ended up in-game, Kudos for everyone making this happen. Special shoutout to Andy Hansen for figuring out how to make the water and world-building all of our fishing mini-scenes, Andres Ortiz and Billy Garretsen for presentation and UI.
